En route visit Elephant orphanage ELEPHANT ORPHANGE Pinnawala, Visit the Elephant Orphanage, the foster - home of elephants of different age and size feeding, bathing, playing together and even mating. These have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. There are even little baby calves born in captivity. Overnight stay Hotel in Dambulla.

Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Pollonnaruwa. En route visit Sigiriya. SIGIRIYA ROCK A Prince of the 5th century who committed patricide made the rock of Sigiriya his hideout in order to stay away from his half-brother who sought vengeance. This prince Kasyappa by name, not only fortified his stronghold but also added to it artistic beauty. Next POLONNARUWA The Cholas (An Indian Race) who overran the city of Anuradhapura destroying it to a great extent settled in the village of Polonnaruwa. A Sinhalese king from the Southern part of Sri Lanka liberated it from the Cholas and made it the second capital of Sri Lanka. (OPTIONAL) SAFARI AT MINNERIYA. This will include a Safari tour by jeep with a jungle tracker, where you can see animals in the Jungle, including elephants, Bears, Wild boar, Dear, Buffalo, Monkeys and many other animals if you are lucky, leopards too. Return to Dambulla. Dinner & Over night Stay Hotel in Dambulla.

En route visit the Cave Temples of Dambulla, CAVE TEMPLE DAMBULLA In the 1st century B C a king of Anuradhapura fled the city due to a South Indian invasion and took refuge in the caves of Dambulla. On recapturing Anuradhapura after 13 years, the king converted the caves in to monastery and gifted it to the Buddhist monks. Next SPICE GARDEN Visit a spice garden at matale where spices and herbs used for Sri Lankan cuisine and medication are grown Spices of Sri Lanka attracted the early sea faring merchants who made the long voyages to purchase this precious merchandise. Evening enjoy a typical Sri Lankan Cultural Show of Drumming Dancing music and fire walking. Sight seeing of kandy including Upper Lake Drive and visit to Art and Craft Centres. KANDY A ruled in Kandy up to 1815 although the rest of the island was under the British regime. Finally it was ceded to them by the Chieftains of Kandy who were disappointed over the kingís cruel deeds. En-route visit the Botanical Garden Peradeniya which was a pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of the 16th Century and later made in to a Botanical Garden during the British regime. This gardens; one of the best in Asia is a place of beauty and site for bird watchers. Arrive Nuwara Eliya also known as Little England is where the homesick British ( The Tea Planters) built themselves a home away from home. A touch of old England could be experienced by taking a drive through the city. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Bentota. En route stop at Ella Grand Motel to enjoy the view of the famous ella gap, Also view the beauty of the Ravana Falls as you descend to the low lands. Visit Dutch Fortress. CITY OF GALLE Galle is one of the ancient sea ports of Sri Lanka and was an anchor point in the Silk Route. It was later discovered by the Portuguese where they built a fortress and the Dutch that succeeded them fortified it further. This fortress is today a World Heritage Site. Next River Safari in Madhu Ganga BOAT SAFARI The Boat Safari on the River Madhu is something that words would not justify. The primitive Life Style of the inhabitant of the islands of the Madhu River is only a boat ride away. The boat ride that takes you through the thick mangroves, The bird life around, the primitive style of Fishing and prawn trapping still practiced by the inhabitants of the islands will reveal to you another facet of splendid Sri Lanka. (According to your flight times) TURTLE HATCHERY Projects have been launched to conserve the population of turtles that are reaching extinction and such projects are found along the southern coast of Sri Lanka where turtles come as hop to lay their eggs. The turtle digs a hole on the Beach, Lais hers eggs and covers it with sand where it is suppose, incubate by the heat of the sun. What often happens is the eggs are dug out by fisherman and sold to people who consume them. But now the eggs are bought up by the conservation projects and hatched the Natural way in enclosed areas and the Birds donít have a chance of picking them up. This offers them a better chance of survival. Proceed to Airport for Departure.
